Genesis, a global leader in clinical traceability, will bring its platform to Newmedica, one of the largest ophthalmology service providers in England. Newmedica will begin rolling out Genesis Inventory and Genesis Clinical (point-of-care) capabilities to enhance patient safety and supply visibility across its national network.
A member of the Specsavers Group since 2016, Newmedica provides NHS-funded ophthalmology services to treat a diverse range of advanced eye conditions for more than 150,000 patients each year at 26 eye health clinics and surgical centres across England. With Genesis, Newmedica gains the ability to maintain essential clinical traceability across sites and prevent never events by managing expiries, recalls, and chain of custody automatically.
Newmedica selected Genesis after evaluating its need for a single solution that would enhance patient safety, deliver comprehensive insights, improve efficiency, and increase connectivity across sites. As a platform built in partnership with the NHS — and one that already serves several of its largest trusts — Genesis brings a unique understanding of Newmedica’s specific requirements and its commitment to delivering quality patient care.
